I hate the writer's strike last year...

alam niyo ba un? ung writer's strike sa US sometime last year? ang nangyari kasi was, there was this union of writers who wanted something done with the credits of the dvd copies of certain american shows.. whether drama, action, sci fi, even the late night talk show writers were affected.. the result of the writer's strike can be observed from my favorite tv shows (namely Heroes, Chuck and Numb3rs).. yup.. pati Numb3rs nadamay..

ang Heroes kasi, season 2 na nung time na un.. and the result of the season was only 11 episodes of "bitin" moments.. andun na lahat eh! the healing of Sylar, the introduction of new heroes, the return of Hiro to the present, lahat na inasahan nung season 1 binitin sa season 2.. ibabawi na lang ata nila sa season 3.. at least for their case, interesting ang ginawa nila kasi season 3 is about meeting the "villains"...

Chuck was affected because it only aired 13 episodes.. and what sucks most about it was that hindi halatang season ender ang episode 13.. it just seemed like an ordinary episode for chuck.. there was nothing thrilling about the ending.. parang bula.. bigla na lang tinapos..

Numb3rs ako pinaka-naasar.. sa first half ng latest season, hindi halatang affected siya ng strike.. but during the last two episodes of the season, I noticed na mejo iba na ang flow ng kwento.. it wasn't the same as before na natutuwa ako sa mga analysis ni Charlie, which is followed by the FBI's arrest of the criminals.. hindi eh.. I could see na there was something different during that episode.. and then, they did it.. they made things too personal for Charlie.. to the point that he is no longer allowed to consult for the FBI, NSA, CIA, or any other agency that needs a high ranked clearance in order to keep their secrets (yes I'm spoiling what happened in the last episode)...

nung ginawa nila yan sa Numb3rs, hindi talaga ako natuwa.. some of you maybe sinasabi "xet! ano na ang mangyayari kay Charlie?!?!".. my point exactly.. the fact that Charlie is allowed to consult for these agencies gives Numb3rs its thrill in watching.. I don't care about his relationship with Amida, or his brotherly conflicts with Don.. what I care about is how he approaches the questions presented to him and creatively find mathematical ways of solving the case.. that's what I look forward to everytime I watch Numb3rs.. and thanks to the new writers, they practically said "the next season will be our last season" with that season ender..

(tama na toh.. back to lab reports nanaman.. :D)
