this is a late blog..

(sa mga marunong maghapon, please read this blog.. for those of you who don't understand japanese, translations are included)

dapat kahapon ko pa to ginawa eh.. kaso lang dahil natuwa ako sa panonood ng "60th Emmy Awards" ay inabot ako ng 12mn at tinamad na ako mag-net... antok na rin ako nun so wala rin epekto kahit ginanahan ako mag-net..

nung isang araw, niyayaya ako ni Tim na magkita-kita raw kaming mag-barkada.. sabi niya sa sabado daw kami magkita.. sabi ko "pass na lang muna ako.. may nihongo ako sa umaga eh.. hanggang hapon un".. edi aun, so sabado na.. exclude ko na ung nangyari sa nihongo kasi masyadong malayo na ang topic pag isasama ko ang mga nangyari dun na hindi kasama sa kwento..

anyway, sometime sa gitna ng klase sa nihongo, nalaman kong hihintayin pala ako nina Tim sa SM north kahit na dumating pa ako ng mga 6pm.. so sabi ko hintayin na lang ako.. hahaha! kaso lang, naubusan ako ng battery kaya nawalan ako ng contact sa kanila.. buti na lang may instinct ako na pumunta ng BK.. sakto papunta pa lang ako run, nasa may tapat na sila ng greenwich (na katabi ay BK).. so nagkita rin kami kahit hindi ko sila natext..

kumain kami sa food court, at bago umuwi ay dumaan muna kami ng comic alley.. as usual, maliit ang pwesto nila pero nandun naman ang karamihan ng mga hanap ng mga tao.. napabili ako ng isang necklace kasi masyadong mahal ang pocket-watch (clue na ang pocket watch if you're curious kung anong anime nang-galing ang necklace).. pero, habang nag-iisip kung bibilhin ko ung necklace or hinde, may nakita akong nakasabit sa may entrance ng comic alley..

they had these japanese words written on paper na nakasabit sa entrance nila.. bawat papel, iba ang nakasulat na greeting.. now I know based on the papers that I saw hanging on the entrance that the people there are self-studying japanese by watcing anime or j-dramas.. the results of their self-study are as follows:

いらっしゃいませ! [read as i-ra-shay-ma-se] - welcome!

ありがとう　ごさいます! [read as a-ri-ga-to-o go-sa-i-ma-su] - thank you! (it's supposed to be go-za-i-ma-su, but that's an error that I make myself so I'm cool with it..)

こんいちわ! (read as kon-i-chi-wa) - this actually has no translation in my japanese word processor.. of course they meant to say hello as in "こんにちわ!" [read as kon-ni-chi-wa] which is the proper spelling and pronunciation of the greeting.. an error perhaps unavoidable if you aren't aware of the double consonant in the spelling..

まった　きって　ください! [read as mat-ta kit-te ku-da-sa-i] - literally translates to "waited, please cut".. O_O

yes, that's the biggest mistake that they made.. a sentence that absolutely made no sense to me.. of course I knew what they wanted to say.. it's supposed to be "また　きて　ください!" [read as ma-ta ki-te ku-da-sa-i], which translates to "please come again!"..

there were more papers on the entrance, but I don't remember the others, while the one near the cashier that says "かしん" [read as ka-shin] made no sense to me.. I tried my word processor, but it showed translations that also made no relation to the store or the cashier.. also, I don't know what the japanese word is for "cashier" so I can't comment on that..

I know, I know, pagbigyan ko na sila kasi mga nagbebenta lang sila ng mga anime parafernalia (tama ba spelling ko jan?), but part of their job requirement is "knowledge in anime is an advantage", and that most people I know who are knowledgeable in anime have been able to self-study on japanese quite well.. on the other hand, those people are usually those who are also able to go to anime conventions wearing their cosplay outfits.. so I guess there's a difference there..

ugh.. I'm lost in my own composition, so I'm stopping now before everything else makes even less sense.. @_@
